A Little December Craft

I feel December is all about the little things. I love buying people tons of little things instead of one big thing. I also think its about the little touches people make in their houses. Our bathroom was lacking a little Christmas magic so i got down to business.

I grabbed some red fabric, white thread, and two cotton balls. I cut triangles out of the fabric and made my cotton calls into tiny little balls and whipped them into this,

little baby hats. Do you know what i did with these baby hats? well that is exactly correct, i put them on anything with a face in the bathroom, however did you know?!

i love them so much!! It's the little things people!

15 days and 40 minutes, but really who's counting?

Revamping an old book Pt.2

hope & dreams
This is the start of chapter one, what Eddy and I would like to accomplish in life. We did one separate goal each and two combined goals!
hot air balloon
Although I am terrified of heights i would like to one day ride in a hot air balloon! I feel like it would be so romantic and fun!
be sucessful
This is Eddy's personal goal. He wants to be able to make money with his paintings and find a good graphic design job, instead of the one he has now. I also want to be successful but as a teacher and with making things! This page is directly related to his paintings.
children
We both want to have children some day, (I want lots of them, he's not to sure about the LOTS)
buy a house
and we both want to buy a house, we have agreed that when it is time to move out we will just buy a house because renting is a waste of money. Its a big responsibility but eventually we will be ready for it!
incomplete lists
this is a list of the things we want to do, short term & long term. Well ... its not finished yet. I figured as we make goals we will write them down! its hard to think of things on the spot, well sometimes!

revamping an old book

9:33 AM Posted by ckscribbles 0 comments
Recently I was at the store and saw this gorgeous book for about 50 cents, It needed a little bit of work, but I was willing to fix it! I spray painted the cover a deep purple and then added drips with a light pink color, I'm not really super fond of how the cover came out, but its growing on me!
harrowing adventures
This is the spine of the book, Harrowing adventures
lyrics
This is the first page of the inside cover. Since i used the song "The Harrowing Adventures" by Tokyo Police Club i decided to make a dedication page to the song. Since i planned on making the book about Eddy and I's adventures, it was the perfect title, i had to!
title page
The cute little title page! The picture of the lady on a horse was already there, and i just wrote over it.
picture
This page has since been changed. It now has a picture of Eddy & I in it, and its much cuter! Maybe I'll post a picture of that one later!
book by christine
This was just a page i altered talking about who the book was by, and who it was dedicated to. I just did a few cross-outs, write overs and decorations to make it say what was important.
dedication
same thing as the last page but on a different page!
traveling the 7 seas
Just a cute little doodle!

This is all the beginning of the book right before the first chapter happens. I will update later with the first chapter and maybe take a few more pictures from the book, it is actually coming out really well! I am so excited.

pacman

So last year for Christmas i made eddy a pacman quilt. Not just any quilt, a crocheted handmade, took 500 hours and a million mini granny squares kind of quilt. Here i was last year the day before Christmas sewing frantically in my bedroom trying to make sure it was all done. Rest assured i slept so well that night. It was also really hard to hide such a big task from someone you see everyday and to keep it secret! There were many a times i just wanted to give in and be like, "babe, i am making you the best quilt ever!!" but i didn't and he was so surprised! I think it was the happiest i seen him ever and he used it most of the winter. The quilt only acquired a few little holes here and there that i had to sew up which was good! I got a lot of great reviews from craftser users and got featured on a few websites! Now the only question i have is how can i top last year, and the answer is without killing myself i don't think i can!

camera revamp

A while ago i got this camera at a flea market.
camera
well the leather started falling off of it and it looked like it was real dirty underneath. I took alcohol to the dirty parts after ripping most of the leather off. The alcohol took off most of the dirt, dried glue and grime then i dried it with a clean towel. I used the leather parts that were on there to create a template and then i just cut & glued. Now i have a cute unique camera that looks like it belongs to me

I'm proud of the way it came out. I really do love the look of it. If this paper ever comes off i will probably just recover (or paint it) in a new way. I love that this isn't to permanent but permanent enough that if i want it to stay this way it most likely will!

Have any of you guys revamped an old camera, i would love to see pictures!

I hope everyone is having a happy Monday. I have to go to work in about 2 hours, but i don't really mind seeing as i haven't been there in almost a week!

I just heard about creativity boot camp and i couldn't be more excited. I will definitely be attending.
boot camp
I am also probably joining the RVA summer camp class, there classes are so inspiring that i would feel like i was cheating myself out of a great education, RVA style of course.
