Lately the weather has been so rainy and not good at all. I fear the last time I went to the beach will be the last time I sunbathe this year. Now don't get my wrong, I am more then excited for fall (especially pumpkin picking and pumpkin pie!) but if i knew that would be the last time at the beach this season I would have spent more time taking it all in. We went to Island Beach State Park to beach it up and then headed over to the Seaside Boardwalk, where the Jersey Shore is filmed. The water when we went was so perfect that we spent most of the time in the water. Of course I was burnt as always but it really was a perfect day at the beach!

If you can't make fun of yourself in a fun house mirror then you are no friend of mine!

and you can't have a trip to the beach without playing skeeball!

I got the high score of the day and eddy rewarded me with a lollipop with all of our tickets!

I got a blue tongue (and mouth) from the lollipop that Eddy got me so its a good thing by that time we were on our way home!
Thanks for listening;
XO
Christine

So naturally in New Jersey the best thing to do in the summer is go to the beach. The beach is my go to place for relaxation and tanning ;). What some of you may not know is how short I am. This picture is of me next to me gigantic friend (who is 6'1). I look like a midget but its the sweetest picture ever!

In a sequence, naturally this is what happened next

Coming home from the LBI the other day there is a spot I have always wanted to stop and take pictures. Theres graffiti all over it and I'm so in love with it. However I took it at face value until I went to the back of the building and saw this. This is a reminder to appreciate the little things. I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer so far!

summer for me has been a bit of a blessing, much relaxation and time for the beach but also work. In between these times I have just been sleeping which leaves me with no updates over here. I'm going to try and be a better blogger with more posts (now that I skipped almost all of May) Hopefully some crafty projects coming soon!

so I leave you with pictures of the beaches I've been to recently. LBI and Wildwood!

So a while back I decided to turn my 120mm Holga into a 35mm bcause I can develop the 35mm at a pharmacy and not have to send it out. Well this certain roll was processed but they never made prints of it. When i went to get my film from the pharmacy the man told me "I have never seen anything like this before i think your shutter was stuck" I just laughed and explained it was supposed to be this way and he explained that he wasn't sure how to develop it and to come back when his manager was there. Well i am lazy and recently aquired a scanner that has film scanning capabilities so that is what happened. Now that you have been prefaced her are my negative. Pictures compliments of myself &
Eddy Dubell
This one is my favorite, I found this headless statue at a church right next to my grandmothers house. It really resonated with me and I needed a picture of it. I'm glad I took it.

This one is my second favorite! I love the color of it, typical boardwalk ride.

This one is of the UFO ride featured at most boardwalks, taken by Mr. Eddy

This one is of a spinning ride also typical at the boardwalk. It was called "rock & roll"

I think this was of a carousel! I'm not sure though.

same goes for this one, I know it was at the board walk but I have no idea what it is of.

I crocheted during the long ride down (it was about 3 hours) while eddy so patiently drove!

this is when we first got there, the room was pretty cute. Two beds, a couch, a night stand ... you know the normal things. We also had breakfast and coffee every morning on our balcony, it was perfect <3

We went to Thrashers for French Fries and this huge seagull wanted some so bad, so i tried to hand feed him, you don't want to see the picture of that though. It was a terrified face that was not to pretty. This is him as i was feeding him, the lean in.

we went to the beach saturday, and got sunburned. We did get two awesome jumping pictures though, i took eddys and its the best picture ever!

look how happy he is to be in the air!

this is mine (i have a bathing suit on under the cover-up)
We did watch the sunrise and the sunset all in one day, that will be another post though.
So i will leave you with this,

me and the cutest bus ever PLUS

the man who was in-line infront of us with a PBR and cute leg tattoos!

Happy 8/9/10 to everyone! I hope everyone's day is going to lovely! I am going to get sushi and probably bubble tea afterward with my best friend who just got back from a week being away, she was missed a lot. I guess this will sort of be like a weekend catch-up dealio! Friday my boyfriend & I did first friday again, we stayed in the same spot we were in last week so our set up basically looked like this again

except i had a chinese take-out box for the fortune cookies, more owls & no mug cozys. I ended up making a decent amount of money, the owls sell like hot cakes out there, which is good. Eddy always does very well with his paintings, i made the most i have made yet, which is good!

Saturday eddy and i spent our morning dog sitting one of our favorite dogs Rambo. Although he lives almost an hour & 15 minutes away we still like to go visit once and a while and go hang out with him, take him for a walk & romp around. Rambo gets excited when he see's us!

next we went to a picnic where it ended with me in the hot tub, towel in toe. whoops.

Sunday we decided to go for a mid-day trip to the beach, we didn't sun bathe or anything we just took lots of pictures. My bag had 3 cameras & a tripod in it, that was it. Made me kind of laugh! The people in the sky ride kind of look like they are waving to us but they were really waving to their friends behind them, makes the picture more interesting!

jersey shore at its finest.

we spent atleast an hour playing skee ball, we kept getting free games, it was 3 games for a dollar so i paid one dollar & got about 15-20 games. It was amazing.

we also found this button that someone had replaced to say, "hi" instead of "start" it made me smile so hard!

i spent most of my time with my holga on my tripod!

The last four pictures were my favorites of all the pictures i took. I have one roll of film to devlope & a roll from my holga that is about 1/2 way finished. I'm not sure how the pictures will come out though because i was using 35mm instead of the 120 i should be using and i haven't been clicking it 36 times like recommended, i have been doing whatever i want with it. hopefully they come out though!
