This year we started a new tradition at my house, Gingerbread wars. Every year on Christmas Eve we have a party where all of our friends and family who are free come over and party hard. Well this year we had a challenge to see who would have to clean up the mess after the party. This is now our new family tradition! Although we didn’t have papers so people could vote we all know who the winning house was, me & Eddy’s house!
We used regular icing out of a can (like Betty Crocker) lesson learned. Next year we invest in a icing that hardens right away!
Deep in thought processes ;)
Eddy hard at work!
Pretty good for amateurs!
Now you tell me who you think the winners were;
I know who really won!!

Eddy and I got asked to make our good friend, Mikes, album covers for his new single. He knew he wanted a sewn case and a screen printed image but he wasn't sure of what or how. So he picked up some fabric and said he was just going to staple it, I convinced him to not be silly and I would sew them. An easy peasy task! after I finished the cases I took them over to eddys house so he could see the size and make a stencil. It all worked out pretty fabulous if you ask me!
The stencil in the early stages
The stencil with the cases
Just getting started, we both stenciled a bit!
we used ann types of stenciling tools. mostly a sponge brush but i remembered that when im like first grade we did a sponge paint job with balled up plastic bags. we were going for an almost distressed look and it worked really well. we also used an actual brush made for stenciling.
The wet stencil.
just a handful done
We completed this whole task in two days. They came out wonderful. Mike and the other band member, Greg, were thrilled. If i find out they have a myspace or anything i'll let you guys know so you can hear the song!

So Aunt peg has the cutest house. Its so family oriented and i really wish i could of gotten more pictures of what she had going on around her house. She has chalkboard glasses that you can write your name or a message on. Often times she said she see's her kids glasses lying around with "Just Water" or "There's nothing else to drink but water" written on their glasses. they leave messages to each others on the glasses. To bad i forgot to take a picture of them, however she did get them at pottery barn!
This was her tree and the santas in the window were such a wonderful touch.
These little santas and a bowl of acorns were so adorable. She had her record player and records right under this table, it was a lovely set up.
The gingerbread house her and her grandchildren made together complete with the abominable snowman!
This is my neice Juliana, They all call her Ju, She is the ornery little girl i ever met, but when you get to know her she is FANTASTIC!
and this is what we taught her to do, make moose ears. From left to right is my stepsister Jen, Ju, and my mama.

The Day After Christmas
This is what it looked like while driving home from work last night. We were hit with an almost blizzard and got about a foot or more of snow. With winds up to 45 mph there was no way I was going outside! So I have been stuck inside all day! Pictures of the snow to come I'm sure. I watched a lot of movies, drank a lot of wine, and crocheted! Were you snowed in yesterday or today?

I went over my friend Laurens house the other day and we made some delectable cookies. Okay, we went shopping and came home to premade cookies (she made earlier in the week) and decorated them. I had no help in making the cookies just the decorating and boy some of them came out so pretty! (others not so much!)
Lauren has the biggest Christmas tree i have ever seen, until I got to Eddy's house. It puts out little 5 and a half foot tree to shame but thats okay. I was in aww of this gorgeous tree.
Her step-dad is an avid hunter and her brother, Kyle, thought the deer should be festive too. I think he did a wonderful job!
This is Lauren, she gets that crazed look in her eyes when there is tons of sugar around.
Here are a few pictures of the cookies I decorated. I was to busy getting my hands dirty that I had no time for more pictures!
This was my prized cookie. It would of won a gold metal.
I'm so sad that Christmas is over. I feel like i spent so much time preparing for it and not enough time enjoying it. I hope everyones Christmas was more than lovely.

The weekend after my birthday when i went to Philly for my birthday we took the train. Upon walking to my brothers house we found a art exibit only open for a few days. Heres a few pictures from the art gallery and a self portrait with my (then) new camera!
I think this one was my favorite.
It was the most amazing thing to see a art gallery just pop up in the city. I used to hate living in the city but now that I haven't lived there in over a year i kind of miss it.

I know this is a little late, but heres a few pictures from my thanksgiving.
My grandparents always make the best turkey, I love going over there and spending the season with them!
My cute grandparents, they are so so cute!
We are always sentenced to the "kid table" because there are so many adults
This is the adult table that I will never get to sit at!
There was lots of playing after dinner and ...
and way to much whipped cream on the pumpkin pie, obviously! after eating at my grandparents we went over to eddy's house and had a little more pie! and we played with eddy's mom cricut cutter.
I made this Russian Doll, so adorable!
