Christmas time is my most favorite time! Its so magical and i really love to get into the spirit, so I've been doing a little sewing to start this season off on the right foot! Okay so don't mind the blurry picture but this is where i have been for the last few weeks, in my room making Christmas ornaments(and doing homework). There not done yet but they should be and when I finish them you guys will be the first to know!
Today is Thanksgiving and i have to say that I am so very thankful for being alive! I am so thankful for everyone in my life and that my stepsister made it home safely from west Virginia! We all got up at 7:00am this morning and went to the flea market, its one of our traditions but because of the impending rain there was hardly anyone selling anything. It wasn't all a waste though, we had some good family time.
So heres a few things i have been thankful for lately; My boyfriend, Family, Christmas time, love, smiles, cameras, cellphones, scarves, coats, gloves, hats, socks, new shoes, knowing how to crochet, friends, cardigans, family time, comfy beds, cuddle partners, computers and the internet. There is so much more i am thankful for but heres the short version! I hope everyone has an amazing Thanksgiving! I can't wait to put up my Christmas tree!
Recently my step-dad told me he had something to give me from when he was younger and I was excited about it. Now that I have it i am even more excited! My step-dad gave me his old film camera with two lenses, I can't wait to use it! This is the camera, I don't know much about it so i'm hoping theres some information online about it somewhere. He included a photo book and about three newspaper articles about film cameras that he clipped. He gave it to me with a wide angle lens and a telephoto lens!
okay, I admit it. When I should be paying attention in class I doodle. This is what I have been waiting for all year (besides the beach), it is the most wonderful time of the year. Everyone is so friendly and happy, seriously I don't think i have ever met anyone who hates Christmas.
So a while back I decided to turn my 120mm Holga into a 35mm bcause I can develop the 35mm at a pharmacy and not have to send it out. Well this certain roll was processed but they never made prints of it. When i went to get my film from the pharmacy the man told me "I have never seen anything like this before i think your shutter was stuck" I just laughed and explained it was supposed to be this way and he explained that he wasn't sure how to develop it and to come back when his manager was there. Well i am lazy and recently aquired a scanner that has film scanning capabilities so that is what happened. Now that you have been prefaced her are my negative. Pictures compliments of myself & Eddy Dubell This one is my favorite, I found this headless statue at a church right next to my grandmothers house. It really resonated with me and I needed a picture of it. I'm glad I took it. This one is my second favorite! I love the color of it, typical boardwalk ride. This one is of the UFO ride featured at most boardwalks, taken by Mr. Eddy This one is of a spinning ride also typical at the boardwalk. It was called "rock & roll" I think this was of a carousel! I'm not sure though. same goes for this one, I know it was at the board walk but I have no idea what it is of.
so before the boy and i left for Connecticut we decided to carve pumpkins and make caramel apples. I stopped at the store and got apples and caramel melts but i forgot to buy sticks. Don't tell anyone but i used skewers! they worked just fine for me.

This weekend i went to Connecticut for my old roommate in AIPH's wedding. She has just graduated a few months ago and her and her now husband decided it was time. I accepted my invitation and dragged my poor boyfriend a long. We had a blast, im sure there will be more pictures to come. I just wanted to show you what we stumbled upon on the way home. We came home Sunday in the afternoon. We started the almost four hour drive at 1:00 and about a quarter of the way through my boyfriend spotted this. Of course i slowed down so he could take pictures. Who could resist this, talk about right place AND right time. I'm so in love with these. Look really hard, theres a surprise inside. Told ya so, it was just so perfect. Made me smile the rest of the way home.
